The Global Commercial and Business Development (GC&BD) department manages the global commercial applications that are in use at all our worldwide locations.

This commercial application landscape is currently being changed, making use of a low code PAAS platform. Commercial applications that are currently in development are CRM (Customer Relationship Management), a master data management application and a tank planning application. In the future these might be followed by other commercial applications as well as a potential further integration towards the operational processes. 

To help us with the realization of our ambitions we are looking for a Business Process Analyst, located in the Netherlands, Rotterdam, that becomes the expert in this commercial application domain.

The role of the business process analyst will be held at the division Global IT, in the team of business process analysts. This ensures knowledge transfer between colleagues is available on first hand.

Requirements:

• Master degree (intersection Business/IT)

• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Process Improvement in the CRM & logistics supply chain field 

• Experience in gathering requirements in the sales domain and in implementations in the sales domain

• Certified in LEAN

• Experience in Process Modeling Tools like Aris

• Experience in agile way of working

• Fluent in English and good communication skills

• International mindset, willingness to travel

• Strong conceptual and analytical skills

• Customer oriented, efficient, initiative taking team worker who is able to analyze problems without losing sight of result and quality

• Work permit for The Netherlands

Tasks & responsibilities:

As a project-based Business Process Analyst you will play a key role in developing a standard set of processes for all Vopak terminals and analyzing the existing in-house software solution to meet the requirements of business processes. You'll have a hybrid role combining process knowledge on CRM processes with IT experience.

• With the support of Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers, you will analyze commercial business processes at  Vopak terminals. The focus will be on the lead to contract (L2C) process

• Jointly with the Project Manager you'll ensure adequate management of diverse stakeholders from operating companies, divisions and global teams

• You'll facilitate the establishment of a standard set of processes (blueprint)

• You'll take responsibility to translate process requirements into IT requirements

• You'll ensure that those requirements will be realized and implemented in an agile way following the fit-gap analysis with the existing in-house software solution

• Document detailed business process descriptions for Vopak processes

• Document and maintain User Requirements Specifications and User Stories for the IT capabilities based on the detailed process models

• Act as intermediary between the business and IT organization by mapping business requirements with IT capabilities

• Ensure business requirements are met by the IT system(s)

How will you do this?

• Document and maintain detailed business process descriptions for Vopak processes in the sales area;

• Document and maintain User Requirements Specifications and User Stories for the IT capabilities based on the detailed process models;

• Lead workshops to gather the requirements;

• Lead the process to get an agreed set of requirements;

• Actively support continuous process improvement by analysing process performance, identifying bottlenecks and simulation of business scenarios.
