Business Controller

You will be part of the finance team and have an important role to help guide the company in its transformation. Your natural habitat for the next three years will be an investment budget around € 200 million. The investments consist of a great variety of growth, safety, maintenance and automation related projects. The role is to facilitate investment decisions, keep overview of the investment portfolio and help the management with insightful analysis, and to guard the Capex Project process as the financial gate-keeper.

Your qualifications and skills as a Business Controller
You are an enthusiastic professional with excellent communication skills. You are able to see the big picture while keen on details. Furthermore you have:

• Master degree in Economics or Business Administration or similar (HBO+ / WO)

• At least three years of relevant work experience

• Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written

• Competences: excellent analytical skills, pro-active, self starter, independent, critical to the status quo with a drive for improvement, able to interact with colleagues on all levels of the company.

Your role as a Business Controller
As a Business Controller you act as a gatekeeper in our Capex project process. You will act as a sparring partner to the management team, the project controllers and project managers. Other main responsibilities are:

• Involved in long-term strategic planning

• Involved in the annual Three-Year-Maintenance-Planning-process;

• Investment Proposal coordinator;

• An active role in challenging value-creating initiatives in the Transformation program 

• Enabling capex portfolio management;

• Provide support in risk management and control mitigation actions;

• Responsible for capex-related input during the Planning & Control Cycle;

• Facilitating Asset Register additions;

• Improve the Capex administrative processes.
