What will you do as a Program Manager E/I/A&P?

The Program Manager E/I/A&P is responsible for the engineering and safe execution of the E/I/A&P projects within agreed scope, schedule and budget.

What do we expect from you as a Program Manager E/I/A&P?

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in E&I, Automation and/or Process or related field.

• Minimal 5-10 years of terminal experience or experience in a related industry.

• Knowledge of- and experience with project management, tools and standards including project control systems.

• Good knowledge of codes and standards used within the industry (such as ATEX, SIL, NEN, CE marking, etc.).

• Proficient in English and Dutch.

• Important competences: Excellent stakeholder management on various levels, excellent leadership skills, strong in directing performance and realizing agreed targets, proven Safety leadership and service mindedness, entrepreneurial, energetic personality, self-motivated.

What does your day look like?

The Program Manager E/I/A&P realizes the E/I/A&P projects together with his team of Project Engineers, the Construction Manager E/I/A&P and his team of construction supervisors at the terminal. The Program Manager E/I/A&P provides engineering and construction support and resources to all other program teams where required and to dedicated project teams for the major projects. Other tasks and responsibilities are:

• Manage a team of Project Engineers and Construction Manager E/I/A&P.

• Responsible for managing the budget, quality, planning, risks, scope and execution of the E/I/A&P projects.

• Responsible for effective and efficient engineering and execution of the E/I/A&P projects according to the Vopak Project Management (VPM) standards including gate reviews, risk mitigation and all project deliverables. This in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders.

• Responsible for the Health and Safety performance within the E/I/A&P projects and is an active promoter of improvements on SHE performance within the projects and within Vopak.

• Responsible for the contracting and sourcing plan for the E/I/A&P projects, supported by the central Sourcing & Procurement organization.

• Provide all required E/I/A&P resources and specialist support for the dedicated project teams for major projects.

• Provide input for engineering best practices and Vopak Standards and train other teams and departments when required.

• Proactively identifies risks and seeks for mitigation in order to create ‘flow’.

• Review and approve proposed engineering designs.
