Also we aim to insert the outcomes of the measurements directly back into the application development cycle to improve quality. This is a graduation internship.
What will you do as an Intern improving Software quality?
During your internship at Vopak you will be independent, but also work with the development teams. Part of the assignment is First step is to verify the preselection of COBIT controls that are selected on their relevance for measurement of software quality and the software development process. Once that scope is defined, the challenges are to:
Define how to measure if we meet the controls. You will need input from the teams for that.
Find out if the Vopak Global IT procedures & work instructions support the teams in meeting the controls and advise how to adjust these procedures.
With the results of the above you can actually do a fist measurement.
For this internship, activities can be added in case that adds value for the assignment:
1) Find out & describe how to Automate measurement of the controls
2) Be involved in the implementation
3) Assess multiple control frameworks on relevance for our goals. For example SoC2 and ISO frameworks

What do we expect from you as an Intern?
You are currently enrolled in a Dutch college (HBO) education program in IT / Legal / Compliance, and at the end phase of your studies;
You are currently enrolled in Dutch university and remain enrolled till the end of your internship period:
You are available part- or full-time for at least 4 months;
You have strong verbal and written English communications skills;
You have affinity with IT processes and organization improvement
You are a people person who likes to build & improve processes and organizations; what is rather more high level then doing the work yourself.
Good academic records

Set up a framework to measure the quality of our software and software development process.
Relate this framework to market standards like COBIT , ISO, SoC2
Advice how to insert the outcomes of the measurements directly back into the application development cycle to improve quality
